From what I’ve gathered, the Orlando Sci-Fi Convention was very small and intimate (the best kind!). Thanks to my fellow fans, I now have some awesome stuff to share with you guys!

Many thanks go to Jose, Mark, and Jennifer for their wonderful reports, photos and videos! (Yes, I did say videos!!!)

If anyone went to the convention and still wants to contribute, please send your con reports, photos (and videos!) to me at darias_diner@yahoo.com and I will add them to this post!

First we have a wonderful photo from Jose:

After hearing my plea for more con material, Mark sent me these two awesome photos Sunday morning!!!

Dr. Combs and one of his “experiments” ;)

And Mark mentions:

You can’t tell in the pics but I’m in an electric wheelchair. And due to some recent medical problems my “up time” is limited to 4-5 hours 3 times a week. To be honest when we saw Jeff was going to there at the Sci-fi con, I stayed in bed an extra few days JUST to be able to spend more time up.

I love the dedication Jeff’s fans have to him! And Jeff is so modest. I’ll always remember one of my friends who told Jeff at a convention that he flew all the way from California (to Baltimore) just to see him. Jeff looked very surprised, and replied, “Why?” I think we all know the answer to that! :)

And Jeff is just as dedicated to all of us! Remember, he just finished three cons in a row (and may have another one coming up next month!), spending hours signing autographs, giving presentations, and meeting all of us.

We all really appreciate it, Jeff. :) Now let’s hope you get a little rest before your next adventure!

Read on to check out more con reports plus a little bonus from a previous con!!!

The Orlando Sci-Fi con was Jennifer’s very first convention and she had a blast! Here are her thoughts:

The con was amazing!!! I had sooooo much fun, and I’m going to make a big post about it later, but I did get to meet Jeff, and he was really nice!! =D I got an autograph of him as Weyoun and he wrote “Long live the dominion” on it, hehe. It was really funny, b/c I actually kept seeing him all over the hotel where the con was, walking back and forth to the ballroom, at the Tiki Party (OMG, so much fun!!!), and when he was checking out of the hotel. I was leaving too, and he saw me and said hi and asked how I was before he went to go check out. =D

His presentation w/ Max Grodenchik was really funny, and I did get some videos of that, and the Monologues w/ Marc Alaimo was amazing, too!! They did some pieces from Othello, some sonnets, and Jeff did a really amazing monologue of this murderer, which was really intense. I can’t remember the names of all the plays they did, but it was wonderful; the way they switched from romantic sonnets to really intense dramatic pieces and then back to comedy was just amazing!! I’m really sorry, but I couldn’t get any video / pics during the Monologues b/c they asked that no flash photography be taken during the performance b/c it was too distracting, and it was way too dark in there to take anything w/out a flash.

That sounds so amazing! I’m so pleased for Jennifer (and also a little envious!) Let’s hope Jeff gives us more opportunities to see him perform live onstage as “Monologues” seemed to go so well! :)

For anyone who hasn’t seen one of Jeff’s Q&A sessions at a convention, I wholeheartedly recommend them! He’s always so animated, hilarious, and interesting, the hour is never long enough and the fans are always left wanting more!

Thanks to Jennifer, here are two great examples of Jeff in action:

Video One - Jeff explains how Commander Shran’s (from “Enterprise”) antennae operate and the various emotions they convey.

Video Two - Jeff praises Scott Bakula (Captain Archer from “Enterprise”) for his great leadership qualities onset.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions from the Orlando Sci-Fi con! You guys are so awesome to help me out when I thought I’d have nothing to share! I really appreciate it! :)

Bonus Photos

Yesterday, I received a little surprise in my inbox from Danny, whom you may remember from the Full Moon convention post. Danny and his lovely wife Karen had these really fun photos taken with Jeff at that con.

Here are Danny, Jeff, and Danny’s wife Karen:
