The Combs Compendium: 2007 in Review
This has been a fabulous year filled with Jeff’s great movie releases, wonderful con appearances, and some exciting news! Here’s a little recap to look back on the year!

One of my personal favorite pictures of Jeff from this year. Taken by the awesome Adam.

Breaking News!
Jeff is now working on a new film!!! It’s a thriller entitled, Fast Track and will probably go straight to DVD. This is so exciting! Another new Jeff project for us to enjoy! I will post more details as soon I get them!
NEWS
• Jeff had a fabulous new demo reel come out this year. Follow this cheat sheet to identify his various roles.
• He will be appearing in an upcoming episode of the popular CBS show, “Cold Case” in January.
• It has just been announced that one of Jeff’s shows, “The 4400″ has unfortunately been cancelled. Although the show is now finished, we still have four good seasons to enjoy!

DVD RELEASES RECAP
Jeff had many films and television episodes come out this year on DVD. Follow the links for more information and check online or your local video store for these new titles!
Masters of Horror, “The Black Cat”
This is Jeff at his best with his incredible portrayal of Edgar Allen Poe in this “mini-movie” that melds Poe’s real life with his dark tale, “The Black Cat.” It’s unfortunate that Jeff wasn’t recognized somehow for his amazing performance!
This is one of my favorite newer films of Jeff’s and a great, breakout role for him as a power-hungry sheriff tracking down a serial killer in a small town.
With the recent news of “The 4400”’s cancellation, this is now the second-to-last season of an incredibly wonderful show that was almost “too good for TV.” Where are we gonna find another Kevin Burkhoff?
A gorgeous DVD with some of the original scenes that were cut out to make it an R-rating placed seamlessly back into the film, including a fabulously gorey scene with Jeff and director Stuart Gordon’s wife, Carolyn Purdy-Gordon.
Return to House on Haunted Hill
Jeff returned as Dr. Richard Vannacutt in this first-of-its-kind “navigational cinema” technology DVD. Which reminds me…I still need an HD-DVD player!
Finally the delicious Dr. Haggis has his due! Charles Band of Full Moon Productions has put Lurking Fear out on DVD in the U.S.! It’s part of a new boxset entitled, “Full Moon Classics, Vol. 2.”
The Ultimate Re-Animator (special edition)
The “highlight” of the year, this is the best packaged and best looking print of Re-Animator thus far. I will be discussing the various different DVD releases of Re-Animator in an upcoming blog post.

INTERVIEW RECAP
Jeff gave many interviews this past year about his various upcoming projects, his many roles, his thoughts on science fiction and horror, and several interviews even delved into his thoughts on acting itself. These were my favorites, as a lot of the time, Jeff seems to get the same old questions about Re-Animator or Star Trek ad nauseum. To have an interviewer ask him something new, that lets him truly enjoy the interview instead of it being a chore, is always wonderful!
No matter what questions are asked of him (and no matter how many times!), Jeff is always interesting, intelligent, and animated in his answers. You can read, listen, and watch Jeff in the links below. Enjoy!
If I’ve missed any interviews, please email me at darias_diner@yahoo.com and I will add the links to this post. Thanks!

CONVENTION RECAP
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to the convention reports of Jeff’s appearances this year. Jeff is such a sweetheart to take the time out of his busy schedule to meet fans, sign autographs, and give wonderful Q&A sessions. Sometimes cons are great, sometimes, they’re not so great, but Jeff does them all for us and we appreciate it immensely! Thanks Jeff!
Here are links to all the reports I received this year:
London Expo report
Full Moon Convention report
Orlando Sci-Fi Con report
German Weekend of Horrors (Updated to add a con report, video, and photo from Fabrice. Merci beaucoup!)
If anyone else wants to contribute their memories to any of the above conventions (or any other cons Jeff attended in 2007), please email me (Elisa) at darias_diner@yahoo.com and I will add them to the posts.
